DAY 1 [Tamanrasset - Afilal]

Arrival in Tamanrasset and immediate transfer to Afilal or our camel team. Dinner and first night in a bivouac under the stars of the Hoggar.

DAY 2 [Afilal - Tézouiague High Peak]

Morning rise in the middle of the Hoggar, after breakfast, departure for our first day of walk after loading the camels, toward the Teguerguist site where we will picnic before reaching the night bivouac on the Tézouiague high peaks at the foot of which we will spend the night. This site is often the meeting point of the climbing amateurs and will remind us of the Roman decors of Frison Roche.

DAY 3 [Tézouiague High Peak - Asserrem - Hermitage of the Père de Foucauld]

From our camp, we will observe to the west, above us, the slopes of the tabular Mount Assekrem. It is through a small passage separating the two summits that we will climb the southern peak. A few steep passages will let us appreciate the splendour of the mountain. After lunch, it is at the best time of the afternoon that we will climb the Assekrem and the path will lead us to the small hermitage of the Père de Foucault, where the view on the ensemble of the Hoggar is absolutely magnificent. Descent from the hermitage and night at the bivouac.

DAY 4 [Assekrem - Massif de la Taessa - Oued Atalis]

We will regretfully leave this site filled with spirituality and going full south, we will descent through the grand passage of the Taessa mountains. A succession of plateaus and circus ripped gorges will lead us to the entrance of the Atolis wadi where we will stop our convoy for the night. Bivouac in the wadi.

DAY 5 [Oued Atalts - Mossif de la Taessa - Eddekelt]

We will continue our descent of the Atalis wadi. Randomly found on the rocks, we will discover a few of the rupestral engravings. Picnic in the shadow before the long crossing of the pinkish granite mountains of the Taessa where we will see some rupestral paintings. We will settle camp in the Eddekelt circus.

DAY 6 [Eddekelt Circus - Adrar Adjerine - El Narakaya]

Our convoy will go around the Adrar Adjerine and after the crossing of a vast plateau made of black basalt, we will reach the beautiful El Narakaya wadi where we will settle for our last bivouac in the Hoggar.

DAY 7 [El Norakdya - Illaniamen - Tamanrasset]

Last morning of excursion all the way to the Illaniamen path. After lunch, we will find our vehicles that came from Tamanrasset and we will leave our camel team that will go back to their camp. A short transfer will bring us back either in town, or directly to the camp. Meal and hot shower. Dinner and camping. Night.

DAY 8 [Departure]

After breakfast, transfer by 4X4 vehicle to the airport and take off for Paris.

The itinerary of the excursion offered is of about 120 km, at an average altitude of 2 000 metres. Open to all, it lets us discover, with the slow pace of a walk, the beautiful landscapes of the Hoggar. Each of the stages of this itinerary is of about 5 to 6 hours on average. The ascent of the hermitage of the Père de Foucault takes about an hour. The path chosen is the one that was usually taken during the winter season. However, the importance of the pastures for the camels and supply of drinkable water can bring our Tuareg guide to take different paths, quite as beautiful. For those who would fear about the taste of the water transported in the guerbas (drinkable) we suggest that they bring minted alcohol or concentrated lemon juice.

Important notice : necessary luggage
